4th of July Already?!

4th of July Style

School has finally finished up and with summer jobs / internships just starting it is easy to forget that the 4th of July is right around the corner! The 4th is probably the second biggest family holiday in my family after Christmas. Growing up my family would try to find matching or correlating outfits. However, once everyone started getting older and developing their own sense of style it was very hard to still continue on with our family tradition. In this post I decided to put together some of my favorite 4th of July outfits for different styles.

Seafood Fest Ready: 4th of July

Fedora: Banna Republic , Blouse: Banna Republic , Skirt: Anthropologie , Earrings: J.Crew , Purse: Tory Burch , Shoes: Madewell

Clam bake or backyard bbq this Fourth of July? This outfit will have you looking casual chic with the perfect twist of holiday spirt!

Our family always starts the 4th off by having a lunch bbq at my grandma's house. I always love to show up in an outfit that includes recent trends, classic basics, and patriotic colors. A trend I have fallen in love with over the past few years is pattern mixing. This can be a trend that is difficult because of the fine line between making a great outfit and making a huge fashion mistake! With this outfit I played with minimal patterns in the shirt and hat but add a standout pattern with the Tory Burch handbag. I added the strong pop of read within the flats and the earrings to catch the eye at another angle.

Parade Ready: 4th of July

Tank: Gap Shorts: Madewell Purse: Kate Spade Balloons: Target Sneakers: Anthropologie Sunglasses: Anthropologie

Trying to find the perfect holiday outfit to chase after children and candy at the local parade?!

Going to 4th of July parades with young children can be a blessing in disguise. The 4th of July parade has been a family tradition. After years of chasing my younger cousin's around at the parades I have learned the importance creating a durable, comfortable, and festive outfit.  I am currently loving the embroidery trend this is a fun twist to your denim shorts without only being able to wear them on the 4th of July every year.  My family has an obsession to say the least with novelty Kate Spade handbags and this Hot Sauce cross body is an easy to carry while catching candy.  These laser cut sneakers are the perfect walking shoes to a hidden gem spot to take an Instagram worthy photo with the adorable USA balloons.

Boating Ready: 4th of July

Hat: Vineyard Vines,  Romper: J.Crew, Sandals: Nordstrom, Swimsuit: J.Crew Factory, Tote: Anthroplogie

Heading to the beach to cool off this 4th of July?!

After baking in summer sun at the parade we always finish out our holiday at the lake. During the summer the Upper Peninsula of Michigan has day light until around ten o'clock at night. That usually entails fireworks don't start until almost eleven o'clock at night. Leaving plenty of time to enjoy the boats and swimming in the lake. This scalp chambray romper can work as both a beach cover up or a casual holiday outfit. Currently I am loving the high halter neck swimsuits with high waisted bottom trend. Unfortunately J.Crew Factory didn't have a high waisted option but you can find a red high waisted bottom here. These Metallic sandals were inspired by the Liberty Bell to add a pop of history into the outfit!
